The Rangers and Capitals Renew Playoff Rivalry

Recently for the New York Rangers, the Washington Capitals are not a welcomed sight in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Including the 2012 playoffs, Washington has won three playoff series in their five consecutive postseason appearances. Two of those three have been against the Rangers.

The Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins are no strangers to each other. Both are in the Atlantic Division, which means they face each other six times in the regular season. In fact, the two teams are only separated by 305 miles of I-76.
On the ice there is no love lost either. Each game and each playoff series is a physical battle. Brawls are not uncommon. And with some of the league’s most prolific scorers, scoring is not uncommon either.
